Born in San Francisco on March 29, 1965 Ralph Peter Beyer became inspired by his fathers artistic talent at an early age, his father Peter Paul Beyer immigrated to San Francisco from Germany in 1950.
R. P. Beyer created his palette knife style of oil painting on large canvases in his Sebastopol studio from 1985-2000. Beyer has always been inspired by the Northern California coastline that he visits often.
In 1991 the Branscomb art gallery in Bodega Bay, Ca. became interested in Beyer’s paintings and welcomed him to exhibit and sell his paintings until the gallery became a resort.
Ralph P Beyer now lives in Windsor, Ca. the west Sonoma county’s wine country and still creates a portion of the northern California coastline art.
